About Me

“In the bustling domain of Navi Mumbai’s real estate, Advocate Minal B. Khona emerges as a legal beacon, skillfully navigating property conveyancing with over 30 years of expertise, redefining the landscape of legal support.”

Meet Adv. Minal B. Khona

Adv. Minal B. Khona stands as an accomplished legal practitioner hailing from Navi Mumbai, renowned for her expertise in property conveyancing across the expansive domains of Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Thane, Uran, Panvel, and Raigad.

With an illustrious practice spanning over three decades, Minal is also distinguished for her affiliation with esteemed nationalized banks and prominent financial institutions.

Expounding on her legal practice, Minal articulates, “I am an independent lawyer specializing in property conveyance. My repertoire includes liaising, meticulous drafting of diverse legal instruments, issuance of Public Notices, comprehensive title scrutiny and searches at Sub Registrar office of Assurances, production of title and search reports, facilitating property transfers involving CIDCO, MIDC, MAPMC, Land Revenue Department, as well as navigating Stamp Duty, Registration, Society establishment and registration, Conveyance for societies, establishment and registration of partnership firms, Limited Liability Partnerships, Companies, management of Cheque Bouncing Notices and Cases, and procurement of Heirship Certificate, Succession Certificates, Probate of Will and Letters of Administration from the honorable courts.”

Beyond her exceptional prowess in the property realm, Minal is an ardent advocate of Succession/Estate Planning, having conducted a plethora of enlightening seminars nationwide, centred around Wills, Nominations, and the intricate art of Succession/Estate Planning. She emphasizes the paramount significance of these facets, particularly for women. In her words, “Through my experience, I’ve discerned that women, especially widows of businessmen, often find themselves grappling with the intricacies of inherited wealth, leading to financial quandaries. My role entails offering them invaluable legal guidance, addressing a void where Succession / Estate Planning is often overlooked.”

In a domain traditionally dominated by men, the real estate and property sector, Minal persisted, securing her initial breakthrough by managing the stamp duty registration of twelve hundred homes in a single project. This achievement was attributed to her astute legal guidance to builders, underlining her commitment to service. Recognizing her prowess, she was appointed as a Notary by the Government of India in 2008, a remarkable accomplishment at a young age.

Minal has also authored ten editions of the Stamp Duty Ready Reckoner for Navi Mumbai and Panvel. While diversifying her legal practice, she advises newcomers to stay well-informed across legal developments. “As a lawyer, continuous reading is essential. With evolving regulations, staying updated is crucial to serve clients effectively.”

Minal attributes her achievements to the unwavering support of her family, particularly her husband, Bharat M. Khona. She believes her daughter, Payal and son-in-law, Parth to be her pillar of strength.

Minal’s influence extends beyond her practice, as evidenced by her role as a Director-in-charge of JITO PROFESSIONAL FORUM at JITO APEX – JAIN INTERNATIONAL TRADE ORGANIZATION and serves as Chairperson of Shri KDO National Women Empowerment Committee of Shri KDO Samast Mahajan and she is actively involved in many other organizations too.

Minal’s achievements and contributions transcend her professional achievements. She also conducts seminars to educate women about their legal rights, aligning with her belief in “Learn, Earn, and Return.” Advocate Minal Khona has received several prestigious awards for her remarkable contributions, including the ‘Dr. Sarojini Naidu, The Nightingale of India “International Award”‘ for “Working Women” in 2021 and the MID-DAY POWERFUL LADIES AWARD for ‘Iconic Contribution in the Legal Fraternity,’ presented by Shri Bhagat Singh Koshiyari, Governor of Maharashtra.

Harboring an unwavering belief in the ethos that “There is No Substitute for Hard Work,” Minal Khona ardently applies this tenet to both her personal and professional spheres, thereby etching an indelible mark in the annals of legal distinction.
